From Monday 28 July to Friday 1 August 2025, we’ll be staying at Leeson House near Swanage with the on-site Field Studies Team and heading out daily on geological adventures in Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. Expect loads of practical geology, expert-led fossil hunts, dramatic cliffs, and plenty of fun with Rockwatch friends.
Our leaders Richard, Barry, Alan and Phil, who know the area inside-out and will help you spot fossils, identify rocks, and explain the stories behind the amazing landscape.
We’ll be exploring:
- Charmouth & Lyme (Fossils galore!)
- Weymouth & Ringstead (Sedimentary rocks & ancient seas)
- Lulworth to Mupe Bay (Spectacular scenery, geology and wildlife)
Evenings are just as fun with games, talks, and relaxing with fellow Rockwatchers at Leeson House.
