Time to become a Geo-Detective!

Do you ever where a pebble started it’s journey?  And how long it’s been ‘on the road’?

Join us to discover the origin of Essex pebbles.  It’s a surprising and fascinating journey of more than 65 million years and expert Essex geologists, Ros and Ian Mercer will be there to lead you through the adventure!

The adventure is at Thorndon Country Park near Brentwood in Essex, a old deer park with ancient woodland now designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

A wonderful day for Rockwatchers and their families.

Meeting at 11.00 with an approximate finish time of 15.00

You must be a Rockwatch member to go and the booking fee for this fieldtrip is £2.50 per individual.
