Bracklesham Bay Day Poster 26 April 2025

Sorry – this field trip is now fully booked. We’re busy planning more field trips over the coming months so keep checking back for future events!

Join Rockwatch for a fun-packed day of geological exploration and fossil hunting at Bracklesham Bay!

We’ll start the day with some hands-on experiments with friends from GeoLab – a fun and interactive geological discovery session featuring rock sorting, Rock Cycle experiments, a wax volcano, and even horse evolution studies.

Then, after lunch, we’ll head to the beach for an exciting fossil hunt led by Bracklesham Bay fossil expert David Bone, where you can find shark teeth, ray teeth, gastropod and bivalve shells, corals, and more, all dating back to the Eocene era.
