Rock, fossil and mineral collecting opportunities.  Simple field mapping and identification of geological features in the landscape.

Residential Trips

Opportunities to explore areas in greater depth over a weekend or longer.

Museum Events

‘Behind the scenes’ tours for members only as well as Rockwatch family days in museums for the general public with a wide range of geological activities for children of all ages.

Talks and Lectures

Older children and their parents can attend a range of specialist talks at the Geologists’ Association or any of its affiliated organisations on production of their Rockwatch membership card.  These talks are listed in our Events Calendar and printed in our Events Booklet and further details are on the GA website.

Rock & Fossil Fairs

Not Rockwatch events but interesting to go to for other ‘rocky’ activities.
