The Rockwatch summer holiday 5-day residential family geology field trip is back! DEADLINE FOR BOOKINGS IS FRIDAY 28 JULY!
Taking place from Monday 31 July to Friday 4th August, we’ll be exploring Dorset’s Jurassic coastline and staying at the Leeson House Field Studies Centre just outside Swanage.
Many Rockwatchers who have joined us on previous visits will know that this is a fabulous week of family fun learning about the geology of Dorset’s beautiful coastline.
Aimed at children over 7 years, families will go on fossil hunting trips and experience other geological adventures in Portland, Swanage and the surrounding areas and in the evenings back at Leeson House base, there will be plenty of talks and fun activities to get involved with.
The trip will be led by Rockwatch friends, Barry Cullimore, Richard Edmunds and Alan Holiday, and we’re delighted that former Rockwatcher and now PhD student of Paleontology, Phil Vixseboxse will be joining the team.
All accommodation and food is included in the booking costs and we can arrange to collect families from the station if you are travelling by train.
