Warwickshire Museum has finally completed a renovation of its Market Hall Museum and has now re-opened. It is celebrating by displaying Warwickshire’s geological riches with rock and fossil specimens, artwork and models. One of the models on display is an Ichthyosaur made of Lego consisting of nearly 4,000 bricks. And we are pleased to say that part of the money to make this model came from the Geologists’ Association (GA) Curry Fund – and the GA is Rockwatch’s parent body!
The Museum has asked us to let Rockwatchers know that it is now open and hope they visit to see the Lego Ichthyosaur and the other Jurassic treasures on show. And after you’ve checked out what can be done with Lego you can go home and see what you can make!!
The Museum is open from 10 – 5 every day but closed on Monday and admission is free.
